Ginny Overbay, a student from North Carolina State University , is currently doing an internship at the Institute of Thermomechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on longitudinal resonance of metal rods – a technical topic that combines theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory measurements. This is her first time abroad, and she chose the Czech Republic. In the interview, she shares her impressions of the country, her experience working in a scientific environment, and whether she could imagine building her future here.
