Studying Life at the Level of Individual Molecules

Do you want to peek into a world where physics meets biology, nanotechnology, and data analysis?

At our Dioscuri Centre team, we develop cutting-edge microscopes that allow us to observe individual biomolecules in real time and in their natural state – without the need for fluorescent labeling. Our focus is on seeing and understanding what happens inside cells and molecular systems that form the basis of life.

What will you do?

  • Test and analyze experiments in specialized nanochannel systems.
  • Help develop new approaches to data and image processing.
  • Work alongside scientists who integrate physics, chemistry, and biology into a unified research effort.

Who are we looking for?

  • Students in natural sciences or technical fields – ideally physics, biophysics, chemistry, nanotechnology, or bioinformatics.
  • Curious individuals who enjoy experiments, technology, and scientific challenges.
  • Previous experience with lab work, microscopy, data analysis, or programming is welcome but not required.

What do we offer?

  • An opportunity to participate in top-level international research.
  • Individual mentorship and a friendly atmosphere within the research team.
  • A chance to contribute to publications, conferences, or other scientific outputs.
