Intern in Embedded Systems for Secure 4G Communication and Protocol Integration

This internship offers students an opportunity to participate in the development of communication software for modern embedded platforms with 4G (LTE) connectivity. The main focus is on implementing a secure and reliable data transmission stack (including encryption) on devices such as STM32, ARM Linux, or ESP32. Students will also extend the system with selected industrial protocols such as IEC 104, DLMS, or BACnet. This internship is ideal for those interested in embedded systems, secure networking, and real-world IoT applications.

What Will the Internship Involve?

  • Developing communication stack for embedded platforms (e.g. STM32, ARM Linux, ESP32)
  • Implementing secure data transmission over 4G (LTE), including encryption and authentication
  • Integrating standard protocols (IEC 104, DLMS, BACnet, etc.)
  • Testing and debugging functionality on target hardware
  • Collaborating with a supervisor and software development team
