Stress. A word that seems to come up in almost every conversation these days, especially when it comes to work. It can make us feel as though stress and negative emotions are simply an inevitable part of the third of our day that we spend at work. The result? Burnout is no longer a rare diagnosis, but a very real threat that can have a huge impact on both our professional and personal lives.
So, how do we break out of this cycle? How can we cope with everyday pressures, avoid being overwhelmed by inevitable conflicts, and learn to enjoy our work again?
As part of the introductory seminar series of the Well-being Club, we’ll explore why workplace stress arises in the first place, and, most importantly, focus on how to manage acute stress in challenging situations. You’ll leave with a practical “toolkit” of techniques that you can pull out of your imaginary pocket anytime, anywhere.
What exactly can you expect?
- Coping strategies for the office and home office: How to quickly regain your composure after a challenging interaction, such as an unpleasant call or conflict.
- Grounding and mindfulness: Feet on the ground, mind in the present. We’ll explore quick grounding techniques that no one around you will even notice.
- How to deal with rejection: Practical tips for not taking a work-related “no” personally and not letting it ruin your day.
- Practice over theory: We’ll try the techniques together and work through real-life scenarios that you can bring to the session yourself.
